On this page we are starting to list the Constituency Labour Parties that have endorsed our motion, or similar:
This branch welcomes the legal handbook “Equality Act 2010 (disability) and the Labour Party”, produced and published free online at disabilityequalityactlabour.org by the Disability Equality Act Labour group.
The hard work that has gone into this document by disabled Labour Party members and experts in the field of disability equality are to be commended.
We recommend the handbook to our CLP and call for it to be accepted, in its entirety, as official Party guidance at all levels of the Party.
We recommend a CLP donation of £50, and encourage individual members to make what donations they feel able to, on gofundme.com/disabilityhandbook, towards a print run to enable the group to make the handbook available at Party events including regional and national conferences.

Good news! last night (10 July 2018) Chester CLP EC adopted the Legal Handbook as policy and agreed the £50 donation. Interesting discussion along the lines of ‘Why is this needed, surely the Party should have this sorted nationally?’
A motion to support us and share our examples of good practice. Passed July 2018.
This on Twitter from James William Jacobs:
“I was absolutely delighted and #proud to move this #OpenLabour motion that was carried unanimously.
Resolution 6: Solidarity with disabled people.
Open Labour notes the ever increasing pressure on disabled people as the main victims of austerity, and the increased urgency this brings to their proper representation in the Labour Party and its structures.
Open Labour resolves to support Disability Equality ACT Labour and help to spread its examples of good practice to CLPs. We Also resolve to work closely with Project 125 to make the Party as accessible as possible to disabled people.”
